Solo-Project: Marnita’s Table

  • Marnita’s Table trains individuals to lead events that bridge gaps across race, class, culture and other means of self identity. Individuals who have gone through training, however, have difficulty answering questions while planning events because they are complex and the guiding material currently exists on several different platforms making it difficult to navigate. This results in trainees reaching out to the Marnita's Table team for help, which distracts them from their already full workload.

  • Prototyped a centralized step-by-step planning tool to help users plan complex events by utilizing relevant  resources at challenging points in the process and connects users with a network where they can share tips and recommendations. This ultimately saves the Marnita’s Table team time by reducing the number of questions they need to answer.

Group-Project: Reve Academy

  • Rêve Academy is looking for a strategic way to incorporate student voices in the design and development of curriculum for a new entrepreneurship program. The involvement of students in the planning of the program is not only a value of Reve Academy, but also a requisite to qualify for an education grant.

  • In order to create a system in which students are engaged and their voices empowered in a way that can be shared with donors and staff, our team will conduct contextual and user research, develop a design strategy, and create a digital prototype of the applied strategy. From this we will assemble a metric to demonstrate how students are included in the planning and development of the entrepreneurship program, and potentially other student programs.
